Deroy Murdock

 is an American syndicated columnist with the Scripps Howard News Service and a contributing editor with National Review Online. A native of Los Angeles, California, Murdock lives in New York City. Murdock is a first-generation American. His parents are from Costa Rica

Deroy Murdock's columns appear in The New York PostThe Boston HeraldThe Washington TimesNational Review,The Orange County Register and many other newspapers and magazines in the United States and abroad. He is a Fox News Contributor whose political commentary also has aired on ABC's NightlineNBC Nightly News, CNNMSNBC,PBS, other television news channels, and numerous radio outlets.

Murdock is also a Senior Fellow[2] with the Atlas Economic Research Foundation in Washington, D.C. and a Media Fellow[3][4] with the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University. He is a member of theCouncil on Foreign Relations.[5]

Murdock is a veteran of the 1980 and 1984 Reagan for President campaigns and was a communications consultant with Forbes 2000, the White House bid of publisher Steve Forbes. He is openly gay.[6]
