I haven't! I would imagine the pan and oil would need to be fairly hot. If I were to try it, I would find a standard diet fried donut recipe and follow their instructions for heat/temp, use a paleo-friendly neutral flavored oil like avocado oil, and see how it comes out!

I am trying to find a paleo recipe that permits frying instead of baking.

Hi! Sometimes a few on my plants do that too. If they start trying to fruit when the plants are too small, I think the peppers come out short and stubby. Try pinching the flowers off the smaller plants and let the plant itself get bigger and more established before allowing it to fruit, and I think you may get longer peppers. They will turn red once they are done getting bigger, so if they're red they won't get any larger. Let me know how it goes!

Comment on Pad Thai Peanut Sauce by Jessica https://www.paleoscaleo.com/pad-thai-peanut-sauce/#comment-46715 Wed, 29 May 2024 21:23:35 +0000 https://www.paleoscaleo.com/?p=37905#comment-46715 In reply to S2k.

Thanks so much for sharing this info with everyone! I'm partial to the creaminess and flavor of this sauce, and I think many are used to this somewhat American take on a pad thai dish and so also prefer this type of recipe when it comes to pad thai. I'm certain that if someone wanted to research a more traditional take on the dish, they could find another variation.

Phad Thai also does not have peanut butter or peanut sauce in it. The only inclusion of peanuts into phad thai would be chopped peanuts as a garnish.

Like little beach balls! I wonder why they are not getting any longer? Some on the plants are ahead red. ?!!

Comment on Low Sugar Teriyaki Sauce by Jessica https://www.paleoscaleo.com/sugar-free-teriyaki-sauce/#comment-46356 Tue, 14 May 2024 14:43:16 +0000 https://www.paleoscaleo.com/?p=36218#comment-46356 In reply to Pentose.

There are so many things I could say here, but I think the most important one is that the recipe does not claim to be sugar free. It is titled LOW SUGAR Teriyaki Sauce. Yes, it it sweetened with fruit. It does not include cane sugar or other refined sweeteners. It is a lower glycemic option for those looking to reduce refined sugar from their diet. I think you've entirely missed the point of the recipe. Thanks so much for stopping by!

If you add sugar substitutes (with sugar in them) and omit thickeners that have been fermented to remove the sugars from your recipe?? Then I think you've entirely missed the point of sugar free concepts within your sauces.
Either fermentation is not clear or sugar metabolization unclear. Maybe you like the taste of apples more than refined sugar, but this recipe is not without sugar! Fructose is sugar and Xanthan Gum is not sugar.
